The Mad Lads

Nico

Equal parts scathing hot fire and sharp-minded academic, Nico is the pod’s local renaissance man. During the times when he isn’t working in the realm of scares and frights, Nico can frequently be found grading student essays, shredding on guitar, cooking some absolutely incredible Italian food, and taking psychic damage from Justin’s years of trolling. Rumor has it that he still wakes up in a sweat from flashbacks of the time when Justin tried to convince him that mermaids were real.

Dan

Of our three hosts, Dan is absolutely the voice of reason. He has a penchant for reigning in the chaos of the group, and over the years he has frequently brought the three of them back from the brink of madness. This is the man who is the benchmark for passing the vibe check. When he’s not maintaining the balance of the universe though, Dan produces music with other artists, he lays down the law in Mario Kart Double Dash, and he’s been known to make a mean bowl of guac. Would you also believe that he brought our hosts together in a metal band? ‘Cause he did.

Justin

Last up is Justin -- if Nico was Asuka Langley, Justin would be Gendou Ikari. Justin often throws out some of the ‘out of the box ideas’ on the pod, and he walks the line between stalwart host and absolute troll. In his earliest days, Justin’s father threw him off of a mountain top into the local jungle as a way to test his mettle and see if he was strong enough. Legend says he atones for the sins of his past by gaslighting Nico, mastering the art of Street Fighter, and releasing mixtapes every now and then. All according to Keikaku*.

  • Note. Keikaku means plan.
